    Interesting week

    Hi

This week is quite unique to Central and to me. It is the homecoming week. Monday, it was the PAJAMA day which I have talked about before. Then came the Spirits day. It was the first time I wear a shirt, a tie and a fancy jacket. Everybody liked my jacket although it was 92F(33C?) that day. Later that day, we had a homecoming all school party in our front gym and selected the Senior homecoming QUEEN who will lead all the dancers on the homecoming dance on Saturday this week. That day was really fun. Wednesday was the third all school mass day which is extremely boring. I almost fell asleep during the mass which was held after school and we were in the regular dress code. Today is the color day. Every grade has a color that students must wear. Our is GREEN which is very stupid. FRESHMAN is white and Sophomore is grey. Senior is red. I bought a Tshirt in Shamrock yesterday, so that I got one to wear today. It was a tshirt for 10 bucks GREEN with CCHS TOLEDO, OHIO on it which is not that nice looking. In the afternoon, we had an assembly for our new football stadium the GALLENGER CENTER which is very nice although I do not play football. Tomorrow will be the homecoming football game held in the Gallengar center and everyone will go. ENJOY!

    Basketball Training

    Hi,
I am home from the basketball training and once again I survive. The basketball training was pretty fun but very exhausted. As usual, we did a 10 lap running in the Sullivan center, then we started practicing what we need to practise. I did shoting, collecting rebounds, moving steps training and finally free throwing. At the end of the training we will go to the weigh room. The training always lasts for about 2 hours. Every Mon Tues and Wednes. I really enjoy it.

    a lot to talk about

    Hi,

Did you have a good weekend? I did. Moon Festival is coming. Happy Moon Festival everybody. I am very sorry that I can not be home but I am pretty good here.

I really do have a lot to talk about today. Since I failed to do it during weekends, I start from my Saturday. Saturday was just like usual, I went out shopping to several stores and made lots of dumplings for Sunday's party in the afternoon. Although it was 160 dumplings, it was not a hard work. We bought dumpling skins instead of making them by hands. We were very lucky to find them here in Toledo. We consumed some of them during cooking simply because they were pretty good.

Then Sunday came. I had a good sleep on Sunday since I had a snap which was not common at all. I bet that I have not done that for years. Then at about 5 we left for Bowling Green which is a almost college town where the Ohio States University locates. It is about 20 miles distance south of Toledo. On our way to BG, I first saw what an American farm is like. There are crops like soybeans and corns everywhere, but I did not see anybody work on them. There farms are just like ours but with more machines rather than lots of people. BG is not a big town, but you can find any big markets there which are everywhere in Toledo. There are lots of people in BG since the University is there. It is a beautiful town. Houses are stretched out. We did have some difficulty in finding Jeanne's house. Finally we located it next to the church.

Jeanne is a nice woman, so does her daughter Nicole who attends school in Bowling Green High as a Senior students. They have a nice Russia girl this year whose name is Irina. She is a kind and hard-working girl. Jeanne's husband Dan is a cool man who works in the church as a priest. Every students made their food, as I mentioned above I made delicious dumplings. Nicole as an American made a dessert apple pie which is my favorite, Irina made salad. Then came the German girl Maike with her host family a same year old American girl a high school freshman boy Scott who is a pretty cute and funny. They r not lucky enough since their basement got flooded during the strong storms in Ohio last month. They live in BG but in a quite low area. Jeanne's house was fine and did not get flooded. Maike has to share room with her sister during the flood. Finally the Chinese girl May from Nanjing came with her host dad and host mom only. She has several siblings who were to busy to come yesterday. She attends school in Finley OH east and south from Toledo. It is quite a distance. She was very shy and self protective and she seemed to be not quite used to here now. I was not surprised to find out that the way she use chopsticks is the same as I do. She brought fried rice which was not as good as mine :) . Maike brought some German food that I can not remember the name. We ate and talked and played game together and really had fun. Actually the most active students among them were the two American girls, Scott and me. The exchange girls  were to shy. But we really had fun. We were home at 9:30.

Today is PAJAMA day which means the clothes to sleep with. All students wore the sleeping clothes (or pajama) to school today. I was really fun. Tomorrow will be suit day which means I am going to wear suit, shirt, tie.

This is the homecoming week plus Grade 8 students visiting week plus our beautiful new football stadium Gallenger Stadium opening week. Homecoming is a fancy dance party held by the school. I am sorry that I am not able to go to the dance since it is on Saturday this weekend when I am out of town in Chicago.

Today I went to the basketball first training and just got home from there. I have a good coach and I hope I can have a good year! I will talk about the training more tomorrow.

OK, end it here today. Once again, 中秋快乐!

    Amer his

    Hi
America Hisory seems to be the most time consumptive class, which requires a lot of assignments. Linda Pleiman is a good teacher, she cares a lot about the news. She would talk a lot about news with us in the beginning of the class. That is pretty fun. I do learn a lot of the Amer His this months although the history is much shorter than ours which I am very proud of it. Tests in Amer his is a little bit hard, because there are lots of things that we have to memorize. It is a little bit hard. OK, see you tomorrow!

    Math(AP Calculus)

    Hi,

I am going to talk about my math class today. It is an ap class. The stuffs are hard but the quizs and homeworks are extremely easy. They are all what Mrs Grieger have covered during the class. We studied triginometry limit funtion in the past several weeks. There is always a prayer for students who are catholic to pray before the second period of class(which is Maths for me). All the students taking this course are seniors except for me. They are all pretty good students and Erin is absolutely a good teacher. I have fun in this class. Ok, see you tomorrow !

    Rel study

    Hi,
I had a good day. There have been Wonderful weather outside for 2 weeks, and will last for longer. I am going to talk about the rel study class. That is my first period class and is kind of boring. Mrs Lagger is the teacher who speaks in a low voice that most students cannot hear her. What in the class are about homelessness, medical care, the poor etc. Most of them are the general idea of our daily life. Next semester we might study the churches. I do not like her class but I have to do well in Rel study. It is very lucky that she gave me good grades. Coming soon Calculus class.
    Have a nice day!

    FOOTBALL!

    Hi
I had a wonderful weekend. No homework. I was supposed to study for driving, but Phil was too busy. Since I missed someday's journal, I will start from my friday.
It was a happy day on friday. We had a PM Fall sports rally afterschool for all the players to have a nice season. Then I played chess in the chess team and beat Grek for a second time. Rein is too strong to be beaten that easily, he is the state champion who is really good. I need maybe a whole year to beat him in chess.
Later in the evening I when to UT ( the University of Toledo) to watch a high school varsity football game between Central Catholic and St Johns. There were about 2000 audiences in that huge stadium. Almost all the students and parents and stuffs of the two schools went there. They seperated them into two zones. Football is really fun. The game was exciting. Central scored first and leads by 7:0, then the st john's made a 6+2 and led central by 8:7 in the first half. Then there were about 20 minute's rest. After the break, the game continued. All the students stood to  watch the game and shouted "Let's go Irish" which was an incredible experience. I enjoyed watching the game very much. Central had some chance in the last two quarters and they score another 6+1, but their defense was not good that day. St John's also score a 7 in the final quarter and beated Central at 15:14. I'm sorry that I can not tell to much about the football rules, which is complicated. That is an interesting sport which is American's favorite. We wew home very late that night.
On saturday, I went out shopping, and cooked fabulous pork ribs with vinegar and sugar. I did not believe that I was able to cook such amazing food. It was really delicious!
Today, I had a good sleep till 10, then I studied for SAT. Tomorrow will be extremely busy as I have to study for some tests the next week.

    DRIVE!

    Hi
Well done Bill. The week is almost finished! Actually a got 24.5/25 in physics. I got 32/35 in Brit lit yesterday, and I am sure that i got full points in calculus today. I will do my best, trust me. Phil talked to me about driving these days. He encouraged me to get a temporary driving license this year. I think that it is a good idea. I would not be able to drive alone during what they called a learning time which last for about 6 months. That is almost the whole year. The benefits is that when I go on my study in America, I do not need to spend that long time again. We would not let Jeanne know that. It is hard for people who do not drive here, they cannot even go to the supermarket or restaurant or there workplace. There isn't any public transportation at all! Do not worry, it is quite safe to drive here. No people walking on the street, cars all obey the rules. I am just going to study it this year and still I have not decide it yet. OK! Weekends is coming.
    See you!

    New week

    Hi,
New photos updating. A new week is coming, I do not really appriciate it because it will be tiring. The photos are pretty old and unclear. These several photos contain the house, the big dinner I cooked two weeks before (eggplants, chops, fried rice, meatball soup, tomato and egg). It was really delicious. I cooked chop again yesterday, it was even more delicious, I like it so much. There are 2 or 3 photos of the Battlefield between the Indepence War in the surburb of Toledo which I went to on Labor Day holiday. It is just a monument. OK. Have a great day!

    wood work

    Hi
I had fun today. I helped Phil with his wood work. Phil likes to work with wood very much and he has a whole basement of the work room. These days he is doing a shelf on his projector and he invited me for help. I do not like wood cutting, but since I have a previlidge of height, I am kind of useful. It was tiring and we spent 5 hours to accomplish it finally.
I have almost tried all the fastfood restaurant and chinese restaurant here. McDonald, KFC, Pizza Hut, Marco's, Burger King, Wendy, Popeyes, rally, subway, Sandwich and Arby. I went to Chinese bafe, restaurant, grocerry store and every Chinese stuffs in this city. We went out for a big meal at the outback yesterday which is the most expensive meal I have ever had here. I do not really like it. I love the Hamburger in Burger King and Wendy's most, which are huge and incredibly delicious.

    fire!

    Hi,

Today is not a good day. Dad went to Michigan again. Scott High where Carol teaches caught on fire in the gym although it was raining all day in Toledo today. Carol said that the fire took place in the gym in 3 pm and cause a real riot and 15 students were arrested by the local police. Scott high is a public high school. That is fine, do not worry. Central gave us a rehearse of fire emergency last week. I will have a wonderful weekend. I want to inform you that I got a high gpa here which will really help a lot. have to leave the photo for tomorrow since my camera is charging now.

    Good bye

    Corn Maze

    Hi,
I took part in the Corn Maze in White house today. It is a maze, or labyrinth which looks like a big butterfly surrounded by man-height corn with a total distance of 8 miles. Although our Central team composed by Tom and I and several Senior girls didn't win the prize which is a big Xmas Tree, we really had fun. I also visited the Battlefield monument. Pitifuly, I forgot to take picture of the maze. It is just fabulous with several helicopters flying above. New week will begin tomorrow, I will do my best. American kids drive since they are 15, today Tom drove me home. No worries, He is an excellent driver. He has been driving for 3 years with a total distance of 60000 miles so cool! Stop here.
    Have fun!
